External Validation of Outcome Models in Superior Capsular Graft Research
Keywords:

A graft-related prediction can be reproducible within one dataset while failing to transfer to another clinical or acquisition setting. This conceptual methods synthesis develops an external-validation design for superior capsular reconstruction. A review of graft biological properties motivates candidate explanations and measurements without serving as a prediction dataset. The framework defines the target population, endpoint, information boundary, and prediction horizon before selecting a model. It treats preprocessing, image representation, calibration, and adaptation as parts of the evaluated pipeline. It also separates prognostic accuracy from treatment-effect estimation and clinical impact. No model is trained and no discrimination, calibration, or benefit estimate is calculated. The contribution is a validation record that can show what changed between development and evaluation and which observations are needed before a graft-outcome score supports a broader claim.
