Robust Selection under a Distribution-Specific Output Model
Abstract
An exponential allocation setup describes output behavior, while robust selection describes protected performance conditions. Their comparison should separate distributional diagnostics from the substantive ambiguity definition. Independent terminal checks assess the chosen action under declared scenarios. A tractable reward model does not select a plausible uncertainty set or establish universal protection. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
