An Exponential Observation Model inside Regional Search
Abstract
Distribution-specific allocation models individual output behavior, while partition search decides where alternatives are explored. Evaluation should test the tail assumption in visited regions and preserve coverage of unvisited ones. Independent terminal checks separate discovery from verified improvement. A tractable marginal output model does not establish that the searched candidate set is adequate. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
