It welcomes original research, reviews and methodological contributions across the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences and humanities, with particular interest in the integration of evidence, methods and perspectives.

- Engineering, computing, data science and applied technology
- Social sciences, economics, education, public policy and management
- Humanities, culture, philosophy and interdisciplinary studies
Article types

Editorial assessment and review
Submissions are first assessed for scope, completeness and research integrity. Research manuscripts that proceed to external review are evaluated for the quality of their methods, the support for their conclusions and the clarity of their reporting. Authors must disclose competing interests, funding and any required ethics approval.
